It tends to fit with my own observations and experience, though.
But, of course, my methods are strictly empirical.
It sounds logical though:
If you protect yourself, you get less damaged.
If you take advanced driving courses, you have more chance of avoiding trouble.
etc.
I agree with the people who say that helmets, seat belts etc should not be compulsory, because it's my head not theirs,
but I have been wearing seat belts since my rally days way back in the late 60s, early 70s,
and I support helmets since my brother was knocked off the back seat of a sidecar machine due to no fault of their own.
